How do I know if courses are accredited for me?
Untitled Document
Professional Development Resources is approved by many state and national accrediting bodies to offer continuing education for healthcare professionals. Please view our CE Accreditations and Requirements by State to ensure you will receive credit prior to purchasing any courses. We offer summary data as a quick guide, but we always recommend that you contact your licensing board as the only definitive source of such information.
When you choose your profession button from the list on the left side of our homepage, you are narrowing your search to only courses that are accredited for your profession. You can then view the Accreditation Statement for each course to ensure your accrediting agency is listed.

Will my credit be reported to my professional association?
Untitled Document
The only agencies to which we report course completions are ASHA and CE Broker (listed below). All other licensees are required to keep records of their continuing education activity in the event of an audit. Most boards recommend keeping this documentation for 4 to 5 years, but please check with your own licensing board for specific requirements.
ASHA (for Speech Pathologists): We report all course completions to ASHA quarterly as long as (a) you select “yes” for ASHA reporting and (b) you provide your ASHA number in your profile. ASHA requires us to file course completions on a quarterly basis (1st qtr Jan-Mar, 2nd qtr Apr-June, 3rd qtr July-Sept, 4th qtr Oct-Dec). The last day of the quarter in which you complete a course is the date that will appear on your ASHA transcript. For example, if you complete a course on 10/31 it will be reported to ASHA in early January with a 12/31 completion date. Please e-mail us at ceinfo@pdresources.org if you have any questions.
CE Broker (for Florida Licensees): We report all course completions to CE Broker within 30 days as long as (a) we know that you are licensed in Florida and (b) you provide your Florida license number in your student profile. For Speech Pathologists and Audiologists, ASHA is responsible for reporting your credit to CE Broker. If you are not an ASHA member, you will need to self-submit your credit to CE Broker. You may email us at ceinfo@pdresources.org if you have further questions, or visit CE Broker on the web @ www.cebroker.com, or visit ASHA's website @
http://www.asha.org/ce/faqs/faqs_ce_broker.htm.

What is the difference between CE Hours and CEUs?
Untitled Document
Certain accrediting boards, such as ASHA and AOTA, count credit in tenths of an hour and call them CEUs. For example, a 0.6 CEU course equals 6 CE (or contact) hours. This gets more confusing because many state licensing boards use the terminology of “CEUs,” but actually mean hours. Others use “CCC” or “PDU.” We recommend reading the rules and regulations of your licensing board to determine what terminology they use and how it translates into hour requirements.
