Kentucky Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist License Renewal and Continuing Education Requirements

Kentucky registered dietitians and nutritionists have an October 31st deadline with an annual license renewal. In order to renew a license, fifteen (15) continuing education hours is required. Fifteen (15) hours of continuing education is allowed for home study. The board recognizes the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a provider of Kentucky Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist continuing education.

The main goal of continuing education is to assure the highest possible standards for the registered dietitian and nutritionist professions. All licensees are required to participate in continuing education opportunities that build upon existing competencies and knowledge gained from prior education experiences.

Kentucky registered dietitians/nutritionists can earn up to 15 hours of continuing education through online coursework at Professional Development Resources.

Continuing Education Requirements

Kentucky registered dietitians/nutritionists are required as a condition of renewal for licensure to complete a minimum of fifteen (15) hours of continuing education per renewal period, every year.
