West Virginia continuing education (CE) requirements:
West Virginia Board of Examiners of Psychologists
CE Required: 20 hours every 2 years (30 every 3 years for school psychologists)
Online CE Allowed: 10 hours ( if APA approved 'self study' program) (15 hrs if APA approved 'self study' program for school psychologists)
License Expiration: DOI, every 2 years (every 3 years for school psychologists)
National Accreditation Accepted: APA
Notes: 3 hrs ethics required each renewal; 2 hrs mental health conditions common to veterans and their family members

License Expiration: 6/30, odd years
National Accreditation Accepted: NBCC
Notes: 3 hours ACA approved ethics required each renewal (Note: PDR ethics courses are not accepted for this requirement); Supervisors need 3 hrs in supervision from an NBCC approved provider each renewal; 2 hours CE related to the mental health conditions common to veterans and their families

Online CE Allowed: No limit (CDR approved self-study program Activity Types 700-740)
License Expiration: 6/30, annually (If your license was issued in an odd year, you will need to report your CPE's in odd years. Same as in even years - report in even years. Example - your license was issued in 1997 - you report your CPE's in 1999, 2001, 2003, etc. - Issued in 1998 - you report in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, etc.)
