West Virginia continuing education (CE) requirements:
West Virginia Board of Examiners of Psychologists
CE Required: 20 hours every 2 years (30 every 3 years for school psychologists)
Online CE Allowed: No limit if APA approved
License Expiration: DOI, every 2 years (every 3 years for school psychologists)
National Accreditation Accepted: APA, NASP
Notes: 3 hrs ethics required each renewal (3 hrs school psy CE every year for school psychologists)
Effective January 1, 2017, two hours of the 20 hours required for each two year renewal period shall be about mental health conditions common to veterans and their family members. Such training shall include (1) Inquiry about whether patients are veterans or family members of veterans, and (2) Screening veterans and their family members for: (a) Suicide risk and suicide prevention; (b) Posttraumatic stress, anxiety, panic, depressive, intermittent explosive & related disorders; and (c) The need for family and/or marital counseling.

West Virginia BOE in Counseling
CE Required: 35 every 2 years
Online CE Allowed: 20 hours if NBCC or ACA-approved
License Expiration: 6/30, odd years
National Accreditation Accepted: NBCC - Professional Development Resources is an NBCC-approved provider of online CE for West Virigina Counselors.
Notes: 3 hours in ethics are required each renewal (first renewal live, then HS allowed if ACA approved). Supervisors need 3 hrs in supervision each renewal
Effective July 1, 2017 the LPC shall complete 2 hrs. of CE related to the mental health conditions common to veterans and their families
