CE Broker
Effective January 1, 2026, all Texas-licensed psychologists, counselors, social workers, and marriage & family therapists (MFTs) are required to use CE Broker for tracking and reporting CE. Learn more at https://bhec.texas.gov/
Professional Development Resources, Inc. (PDR) is a registered provider with CE Broker (#50-1635) and has been since 2004. All completions are reported within 24 hours. PDR began reporting to CE Broker for Texas licensees in August of 2025.
Human Trafficking Training Requirement
Health care practitioners required to complete a human trafficking course for licensure renewal must complete a course from the list of HHS-Approved Human Trafficking Courses for Health Care Practitioners. PDR’s course is not approved (we have tried by HHSC can’t be bothered to approve it).

LPCs must pass the Texas Jurisprudence Examination each renewal period. Licensees may claim 1 hour of ethics credit for passing the examination.
An LPC Supervisor must complete 6 hours of continuing education in supervision during his or her renewal period to maintain supervisory status.
Texas LPCs are required to take a course on Human Trafficking approved by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) every renewal cycle. It must come from HHSC’s course database: https://texashhs.org/ht-course. PDR’s course is not approved.
Texas LPCs may earn 22 hours per renewal (limited only by the jurisprudence exam and human trafficking requirement) through online courses offered by PDR. Texas LPCs receive 20% off CE @PDR.

To maintain supervisory status, during each renewal period, a supervisor must obtain a minimum of 6 hours of continuing education in supervision and pass the jurisprudence examination. One hour of continuing education in ethics may be claimed for passing the jurisprudence exam. These hours may be counted toward the total number of hours required.
Licensees providing telehealth services must complete 2 hours of continuing education in technology-assisted services. These hours may be counted toward the total number of hours required.
