About the Author(s):

Michael Kuna, MD, graduated from Northwestern University Medical School and completed his Residency in Psychiatry at Northwestern University's Evanston Hospital Campus where he served as Chief Resident of Psychiatry. He has lectured extensively on psychiatric topics to groups ranging from fellow physicians, allied health professionals and lay people. He is double Board Certified in both Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Kuna is a co-founder of Genesis Clinical Services and has treated patients for over 22 years. He strongly believes that having a collaborative relationship with his patients results the best treatment outcome. Dr. Kuna also hosts the weekly Internet Podcast, “Psychiatric Secrets Revealed with Dr. Mike” which began during the first quarter of 2006.
 
Julie Nelson-Kuna, PhD. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has a Doctorate of Psychology in both Social and Clinical Psychology from the University of Illinois, Chicago. In addition to her 14 years of experience as a therapist she has been the clinical director of a hospital based treatment program and she has lectured on topics ranging from depression to eating disorders to a wide variety of audiences, including teaching at the university level.
